Motorcycle dents. A different kind of repair.
Fuel tanks are the most common motorcycle parts we repair, but suitable dents in metal fenders can also be repaired with PDR. We carefully reshape the metal without filler or repainting when the damage allows, preserving your existing paint and graphics.
Motorcycle repairs are a lot different from cars. Tank shape, metal thickness, internal seams and limited access all change how we approach the dent.
Specialized tools. Precise work.
We use specialized PDR tools and techniques for motorcycle repairs. Tight curves and stronger or thicker metal on some parts require a different approach from a typical car panel.
Every repair starts with a close look at the dent, the finish and the access behind the damage. That tells us how to approach the repair and what result to expect.
All tanks must be removed beforehand.
All fuel tanks must be removed from the motorcycle and drained before being brought in for repair. We work on the tank off the bike.
Call the shop before bringing your tank in so we can discuss preparation. A qualified motorcycle service professional can help with removal and draining.
Can your dent be repaired?
Dent depth, location, paint condition and the tank’s internal construction all matter. Sharp creases, stretched metal or damaged paint may limit what PDR can achieve.
Send us photos to help us recommend your next step. Final estimates are provided in person at our Hoover shop, where we can explain the repair options, price and timing.
